A Network Problem Is Never Just a Network Problem

When the network goes down, so does everything running on it — phones, payments, cloud apps, and your team.

0%
of IT service outages are caused by network failures, not the applications running on top of them
0%
of U.S. companies experienced at least one major outage in the past three years

A Network Built to Actually Hold Up

Most small business networks were never designed — they grew, piece by piece, until nobody's fully sure what's plugged into what. We replace that with something intentional.

Design & Segmentation

Every network we manage is planned, not patched together — traffic separated by purpose (staff, guests, cameras, point-of-sale) so one compromised device can't take down everything else.

Daily Monitoring

Switches, access points, firewalls, and internet circuits are checked daily for degraded performance and early warning signs, so small issues get caught before they turn into outages.

Failover & Uptime

For businesses that add it, a secondary internet connection stands ready to take over automatically the moment your primary connection drops, keeping phones, payments, and cloud apps online.

What Happens When Something Goes Wrong

This is the actual sequence that runs behind the scenes when a network issue is detected.

1

Every device on your network is monitored

Switches, access points, firewalls, and both internet circuits are checked daily, not just when something visibly breaks.

2

Issues are flagged before they become outages

Rising latency, packet loss, a failing access point, or a degrading internet circuit gets caught while it's still a warning sign.

3

If you have failover in place, it takes over

For clients with a secondary internet connection set up, it activates automatically — keeping phones, payments, and cloud applications online while the primary circuit is restored.

4

Your helpdesk team handles the rest

The same team you already call for IT support resolves the issue — no separate network vendor, no second point of contact.

Add It to Your Plan, or Get It on Its Own

Whether you're already on a managed IT plan or just need your network handled, the same design, monitoring, and failover protection is available to you.

Network Only

Standalone Network Management

Already have IT support elsewhere, or just need your network handled on its own? We can manage design and daily monitoring independently of any other service, with internet failover available if you want it.

  • Works alongside your current IT provider or internal team
  • Covers design and daily monitoring, with optional automatic failover
  • Scoped and priced around your network alone

What's Actually Included

Every layer working together to keep your business connected, not a single box doing all the work alone.

Network Design & Segmentation

Traffic separated by purpose — staff, guests, point-of-sale, security cameras — so problems and threats stay contained instead of spreading.

Business-Grade Wireless & Switching

Commercial-grade access points and switches built for business demands, not the consumer-grade equipment found in most offices.

Daily Proactive Monitoring

Every switch, access point, and circuit is checked daily for the early signs of failure.

Automatic Internet Failover

Available as an add-on for businesses that want it: a secondary connection takes over the moment your primary internet drops — no manual switch, no waiting on hold with your ISP.

Centralized Visibility

One dashboard tracks the health of your entire network, so patterns get caught before they turn into repeat problems.

Guest & Compliance-Ready Wifi

Guest networks fully isolated from your business systems, with segmentation built to support PCI and other compliance requirements.

Why WesTech

A Local Team You Can Actually Call

Big-box IT and DIY networking gear are only as good as whoever's watching them. When your internet drops or a conference room's wifi goes flaky, you're not opening a ticket into a call center — you're reaching a team in Palm Desert that already knows your office, your equipment, and what normal looks like for you.

Network management is available as an add-on to any of our managed IT plans, or on its own if that's all you need. Either way, it's part of how we support your business — whether that's a single office or several locations.

?Do I need a separate contract for network management?
Not if you're already on one of our managed IT plans — it adds on directly. If you just need your network handled, we also offer it as a standalone service with its own scope and pricing.
?What happens if my internet provider has an outage?
If you have a failover connection in place, it activates automatically, keeping your team connected. If you don't yet have failover set up, that's usually the first thing we recommend after a network assessment.
?Do I need to replace all my existing equipment?
We assess what you have first. If your current network equipment isn't a manageable hardware configuration, it will need to be replaced. If your network hardware is end of life, it will need to be replaced as well.
?Will a segmented network disrupt how my team works day to day?
No. Segmentation happens at the network level — your team keeps using wifi and shared resources normally, while guest traffic, cameras, and point-of-sale stay isolated behind the scenes.
